How did I get into windsurfing? My dad took me to a surf centre where we borrowed a school board with a small sail. We mounted an extra boom for me under the boom cut-out. So I got the feeling of surfing pretty fast, and was sold. We spent some time together on the same board, and later I started surfing alone.

What is it about windsurfing that’s got me hooked? My first planing experience is a thing I will always remember. I felt like I was sailing super fast witch I didn’t. Since that day, I always like to improve on the water. In freestyle there are several numbers of moves to go for and it makes me happy each time I land a new move.I also like racing very much. The thrill in a close race is fantastic.

Biggest achievement to date: World champion in slalom in U17 2008. Nordic champion in formula in U19 2008. Many times Danish Champion in all disciplines.

Favourite Windsurfing Spot: The wave spot in Denmark called “Middles”. We also call it The Cold Hawaii. There are perfect port tack conditions for wave riding and jumping. I have had some of my best days there in the summertime.

Favourite windsurfing discipline: I am sailing all disciplines. I do that because I think they are all fun, and because I like the variety. I am always looking forward to go on the water. That’s important for me because it’s easier to learn when it’s fun.

Favourite manoeuvres: I like to do the Flaka because it is a simple move. It gives a great feeling and makes me happy each time I land it.

Favourite Windsurfing Moment: Was in a wave heat in Denmark where I did my first Frontloop. Second time I tried in same heat I landed it. It was such a great feeling and I was really proud.

How do I keep fit and healthy? I am mountain biking a lot with my dad during the winter in Demark where we can’t surf. Else I run about 3-5 times a week, and does some muscle training with my bodyweight.

Plans for 2009: I will keep on sailing and competing in all different disciplines and maybe focus a bit on RS:X also. I want to get to as many events as possible and keep taking care of my school work in same time.
